First Cupping Therapeutic Session

Service Description

Cupping is a therapeutic healing technique that has its origins in Egypt, Greece and Asia, and eventually migrated to Europe. Glass, plastic or silicone cups are applied to the skin where there is pain and tension. Skin and underlying tissues are forced into the cup by creating a mild to deep vacuum (negative pressure) inside the cup, decompressing the tissue and encouraging improved circulation. Carries the same therapeutic benefits as Gua sha for acute and chronic conditions. In your first session, we will discuss your health history (to your comfort level) and those things that you'd like to focus on. Because we spend some time doing this please be prepared to spend up to 2 hours for this first session.
