Service Description
This class is currently for Licensed Massage Therapists only, and provides 6hrs of CE credit per day. TWO days of immersive training on the history, benefits and practical applications of silicone cupping, and how this effective modality can be a natural extension to your therapeutic practice. Starting on Day 1 with Therapeutic Silicone Cupping, you'll learn about the history of cupping, its benefits and contraindications. You will also learn stationary and gliding techniques to address scars and soft tissue dysfunction of the neck, shoulders and hips, and how to incorporate these techniques into a therapeutic session. Day 2 will focus on Part 1 of Advanced Therapeutic Silicone Cupping, where you will learn protocols to treat the neck, scapula, shoulders (for adhesive capsulitis), and back (for piriformis syndrome), and learn how to access the psoas from side-lying and supine positions. We will experiment with working positions in prone, side-lying and supine (hello anterior ribs/intercostals/diaphragm!), and learn how to incorporate passive stretches to increase the effectiveness of the cups and assist with expansive, pain-free movement.

ATTENDANCE *100% attendance is mandatory for continuing education credit. Tardiness by more than 20 minutes of class start time will count as an absence.
