Moxibustion is a very traditional, deeply warming Classic Asian Medicine herbal heat therapy, said to predate acupuncture. Mugwort (an herb in the daisy family) is lit and held over specific areas of the body to warm the tissues, acupoints and meridians, thus improving circulation of fluids and Qi ("chee"). The mugwort does not come into direct contact with your skin.

This herbal heat therapy may be selected for you if you are experiencing symptoms such as:

-Backache/other aches & pains
-Low energy
-Respiratory challenges
-Digestive discomforts
-Menstrual dysfunction

Moxibustion is widely used as an overall tonic for maintaining general health, and is especially great for warming the body for chronically cold individuals.

Mostly used in the fall, winter and spring.
