See what we're up to!
Announcing A Very Special
Spring Equinox and Fundraising Event!

Spring – a time of renewal, fresh starts, new perspectives, awakening, emerging from the cocoon that safely held us and our dreams. Spring is a time to awaken from our winter’s slumber and look at our world, both inner and outer, with fresh eyes and mind. A beginner’s mind.In this very special event, we will learn about cultivating and nurturing Shoshin, or “Beginner’s Mind”. Shoshin has its roots in Buddhism but its principles can be applied to any culture and belief, and guides one to experience life with curiosity and openness, helping to cultivate new ways of being.

100% of your generous donation will benefit Stardust Animal Sanctuary, located in Richmond, IL. Stardust is home to over 50 cats, dogs, horses and farm animals deemed "unadoptable". Run by Laurie Kay (a true angel), it is a sanctuary that provides specialized lifetime care for these sentient beings in a loving, nurturing environment.
For more information about Laurie, her mission and the animals of Stardust, see www.StardustAnimalSanctuary.org

Laurie relies heavily on donations to keep the Sanctuary going and that, along with her kind and loving spirit, has inspired me to host this fundraiser.

So, please join me. We will enjoy a small ceremony honoring the “beginner’s mind” and then settle in to learn more about returning to innocence, experiencing life with a fresh perspective.

Your entire donation will go directly to Stardust Animal Sanctuary and I will match, dollar-for-dollar, your donation dollars so I encourage you to give as much as you can. I am an animal lover and believe in what Laurie is doing to help those who cannot help themselves.

Please join me on Thursday, March 20th from 6:30-8:30pm. Help me celebrate the arrival of spring and a most worthwhile cause, Stardust Animal Sanctuary!

PS – If you’re not able to attend, please consider donating to Stardust Animal Sanctuary anyway! And, if you’re able to volunteer at the Sanctuary, I think Laurie could always use a helping hand. She most often does the work alone so if you’re inspired, please reach out to her to see where your talents might best be utilized.
