Ahhh Spring!

Can you feel it?

Can't you just SMELL it???

I just love Spring - MY MOST FAVORITE SEASON.

​

I love hearing the birdsong, and watching the buds unfurl as Mother Nature reawakens from her winter's slumber, heralding a brand new season - a season full of renewal and unlimited potential.

A time to remember and celebrate our connection with the natural world.

​

I am so delighted to invite you to celebrate the strenghthening of Mother Earth's song of growth and beauty, and revel in the magic of all that she is!

​

We will begin the celebration by creating an intention for the evening, writing it on very special paper to keep as a reminder of the dreams you wish to nurture into reality.

​

We will then create our own Intention/Manifestation Power Bags, filled with gemstone chips and herbs of your choosing (gems and herbs** will be provided), imbuing them with your own intentional energies to act as a talisman and help support your walk through life.

​

Next, you'll literally plant seeds into your very own biodegradable pot (which can be planted directly into the soil at the appropriate time). As you're planting, you may then figuratively plant your own dreams and desires to grow along with them.

​

Finally, we'll end the evening with a short talk about the Wood Element from Chinese Medicine philosophy, culminating with a meditation celebrating the Spring Equinox.

*I know $40 is generally higher than what I normally charge for an event that I host by myself, but much of this cost goes toward the materials we'll be using for our creations.

As always, my intention is to not exclude anyone because of financial constraints so if this amount is outside of your budget, please contribute what you can. I'll always have a basket outside of the studio door for your anonymous contribution.

**What gems will there be? Peach Moonstone, Gaspeite, Golden Selenite, Green Peruvian Opal, Nephrite, Yellow Calcite, Prehnite. I haven't yet decided on the herbs, but most likely lavender and rosemary (and maybe white sage?).

In this workshop you will receive a general explanation of Shamanism, its history and an overview of the Medicine Wheel. You will then learn how to journey into non-ordinary reality to meet a power animal or guardian spirit, and receive messages. Drumming and rattling are used to bring you to the shamanic state of consciousness, and various journeys will be offered for practice, along with group sharing.​​

These experiences will connect you with your own powerful guidance and spirit helpers who are always there for us, for transformation, support, wisdom and love.

About Shamanism and the Medicine Wheel:

Shamanism is the oldest spiritual practice known to humankind. It is not a religion but a spiritual path that anyone can practice. It is a way to develop deep and meaningful relationships with the earth, all its inhabitants and the spirit world.

​

Fundamental to Shamanism is the principle of wholeness or unity: the realization that everything in the universe is connected, everything has substance, is alive and therefore carries spirit. We can create relationships with those spirits and directly access information and assistance. They are there for us, waiting to connect!

​

An aspect of the Shamanic path is the Medicine Wheel, an ancient tool that teaches and represents the web or wheel of life, and is a mapping system to help us understand our journey. It is an outward expression of our connectedness and relationship to everything.

​

The Shamanic journey is an ancient and powerful form of bringing oneself into a non-ordinary state of consciousness to retrieve information. It is the most direct path to revelation, and this experiential tool can be used as a regular practice for contemplation, enlightenment and healing. With the help of the power of the drum and your imagination, you can vision and receive messages from spirit guides, guardians or other allies.
